BGD e-GOV CIRT has successfully completed a three-week internship programme on cybersecurity, hosting final-year students from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST). The initiative reflects the organisation's ongoing commitment to developing a skilled, nationally grounded cybersecurity workforce capable of defending Bangladesh's critical digital infrastructure.

BGD e-GOV CIRT conducted the training session based on the tools, methodologies, and professional standards of the country's national cyber incident response framework. Sessions were led by BGD e-GOV CIRT's own specialists through a structured curriculum spanning three core areas: Network Security, Security Architecture, and Cybersecurity Operations.

The curriculum was designed to build knowledge progressively across the three modules. Participants were introduced to network defence techniques and secure system design principles, before advancing into the operational realities of a national CIRT environment — gaining practical exposure to incident response, threat analysis, and vulnerability management processes.

The programme concluded with a formal presentation ceremony where the participants shared their experience and achievement in this session. BGD e-GOV CIRT regards this collaboration with MIST as a replicable model for academic-industry partnership in cybersecurity, and remains committed to expanding such capacity-building initiatives with institutions across Bangladesh.
